Noga Rachel Sophie Haker

Recently graduated with a BA in set design CUM LAUDE, Noga is a set and costume designer based in Berlin. Born in London, raised in Tel Aviv, and trained in Milan, she is drawn to storytelling through visual and conceptual world building, often leaning into the fantastical, the quirky, and the whimsical. Her practice spans set design, prop making, costume design, and photography.

Thesis Project for a BA in Set Design
Concept, Set Design & Visuals

Skyfall and Other Mild Disasters is an exhibition design portraying the early stages of an unfolding catastrophe. It tells the story of a fictional town on which the sky literally collapses. Rather than offering a realistic depiction or narrative clarity, the exhibition places the visitor in a moment of uncanny tension. The conceptual, minimal yet hyper-cheerful set contrasts themes of loss and disruption, allowing emotional resonance to take precedence over explanation.

The research question: “What narrative and visual methods allow briefly sketched, non-realistic fictional worlds to feel emotionally resonant and complete?”
The screens display everyday interiors accompanied by familiar domestic sounds, moving from individual moments of daily life to the growing scale of the unfolding event.
The illustrated book serves as an archival document, telling the tale in a whimsical manner while offering a partial explanation of the scene.
The book provides backstory clarity, revealing the Tetris-shaped object to be a fragment of the sky.

Intergraf X NABA 2025 conference launch
 Concept & Costume Design

A Pocketful of Milan is a collaborative project between NABA art academy and Intergraf Security Printing Association. Created as a fashion show launching the Intergraf 2025 conference, the project featured ten characters, each designed by a student using exclusively custom-made security printing materials produced by associates such as the Bank of France. This design interprets a typical Milanese child enjoying an ice cream on a windy, rainy day. 2025

Security printing materials are used to prevent forgery and tampering on items such as banknotes, passports, ID cards, and official certificates.
The outfit consists of a raincoat and hat made from vellum paper and polycarbonate Lexan film, a flowing scarf crafted from demo banknotes, and an ice cream cone sculpted from recycled paper.

Shem Tov Hevi II Short Film
Art Department Assistant

Shem Tov Hevi II is a short film and the sequel of a successful satire-trap-opera produced by Kan 11. It follows a rapper’s controversial return from exile and his rise as a messiah-like cultural figure, exploring themes of fame, idolization, greed, and division. The art department created five sets, ranging from everyday locations to exaggerated interiors: a garage, two contrasting kebab shops, an indoor farmers’ market, and a drug lab.
2025

Greed and power manifest through religious and capitalist symbolism in the set and props.
An elegant kebab shop serves as a holy temple for the rapper, featuring custom stained-glass imagery of his figure.
The beautifully lit space later becomes dark, with newspaper-covered windows and a fully rebranded interior to fit the ominous atmosphere of an evil summoning.
The Mediterranean market sells religious ornaments of the rapper-god and his closest advisor, the Mop Goddess.

2SEATER Music Video Proposal
Concept Development & Costume Design

2SEATER is a music video and costume concept for Tyler, the Creator. The narrative follows Tyler and Ronda over the course of a 24-hour date. As they move through shifting scenes, they narrowly avoid a series of hazards, slipping past danger with effortless, cartoon-physics logic. The costumes and hyper-romantic settings embrace the song and album’s manic optimism, reinforced by a playful, patterned aesthetic. While the characters remain blissfully unbothered, the all-knowing viewer senses the tension of impending danger. 2024

The base costume remains constant while the surrounding world subtly and magically alters the characters’ outfits.
Four-finger gloves, oversized bows and buttons, and Little Miss/Mr custom prints give the characters a distinctly cartoon feel.
